Local ELECTION NOTICE Election of our Local 6 Officers and three representatives to the CUE Statewide Executive Board, and Statewide Appeals Panel Member, will open at the August general membership meeting on Thursday, August 14th and close at the September 11th meeting. The Local Executive Board is made up of the following: President, Vice-President, Recording Secretary, Treasurer, and three Members-at-Large. The three Statewide Executive Board positions require a minimum of participation in a monthly phone conference, and at least three in-person weekend meetings. (Expenses paid by CUE.) The Statewide Appeals Panel Member is the representative from UCSF who serves on a panel that resolves election disputes relative to Statewide CUE and/or Local elections of the 10 CUE Locals. Local job descriptions are described in our constitution at sfcue.org. You may nominate either in person at the general membership meetings, or by email. Send your nominations to gtutin@cueunion.org. If offices are contested, you will receive a mail ballot.

 

Statewide ELECTION RESULTS The election committee confirms that the following positions have been filled by acclamation because no other candidates presented themselves for the positions or declined their nominations: Northern Vice President: Anytra Henderson (Lawrence Berkeley National Lab) Southern Vice President: Maria La Barrie (UC Riverside)   Treasurer: Susan Ervin (UC Los Angeles)   Recording Secretary: To be determined by special election   Chief Steward: Mary Higgins (UC San Francisco)   Trustees:    Maria McDevitt (UC San Francisco)   Gail Moore (UC Riverside)   Haig Santourian (UC Los Angeles) The remaining positions will be decided by a majority vote of the membership in the upcoming election. Ballots will be mailed out on or before July 31. You will receive an e-mail confirming that ballots have been mailed and providing deadlines for returning those ballots.
